How to read this page

Global markets sets India in its world context. It tracks major international indices and the currencies and commodities that matter most to Indian investors — the dollar, crude oil, gold, and key equity benchmarks — so you can see the environment in which Indian markets are trading.

Indian markets are not an island. Crude oil moves affect our trade balance, inflation and the rupee; the dollar and US yields drive capital flows into and out of emerging markets; and a risk-off night in New York routinely shows up in our morning gap. Reading this page alongside the domestic dashboard tells you whether India's move is home-grown or imported.

Data here arrives from public sources and is inherently delayed (typically ~15 minutes plus exchange holidays in different time zones), so treat it as context, not as a tick-by-tick feed. Use it to frame the day, then keep your decisions in the instruments you actually trade.
